Conscious breathing

And what is Yogic Breathing? (Pranayama)
Pranayama is loosely translated as prana (pra-aana) or breathe control. Breathing affects our state of mind. It can make us excited or calm, tense or relaxed. It can make our thinking confused or clear. In the ancient yogic tradition, air is the primary source of life force, a psycho-physio-spiritual force that permeates the universe. Yogic breathing is used in yoga as a separate practice to help clear and cleanse the body and mind. It oxygenates the lungs by getting rid of enormous quantity of carbon dioxide and other toxic gases. It is also used in preparation for asana, the practice of yogic postures and meditation, to help maximize the benefits of the practice, and focus the mind. Remember, we are always focusing, but are we focusing on the right things...

THE #1 THING YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR HEALTH RIGHT NOW!

BREATHE! Yes, of course we all breathe, but when I speak of breathing, I mean the quality of the breath and the versatility of the breathing. Can you breathe fully and deeply with ease? Can you adapt and control your breathing in any situation? Are you aware of the changes that occur to your body when you breathe in a particular way? Can you breathe yourself into a state of relaxation? How do you breathe when you're stressed? Are you breathing right now? LOL! Correct breathing utilizes the entire lung capacity in a relaxed manner without strain, struggle or force. Incorrect is shallow and erratic. You certainly won't stay healthy breathing this way. So... I've read this awesome book, actually several books, but this one you can read right here, right now! Learn to breathe!

The Breathing Box- Gay Hendricks

Hey! It's Marco! "We breathe 20,000 times a day," says Gay Hendricks. "That means we have 20, 000 opportunities to feel better every day." Git er Done!

NORMAL BREATHING?

“The perfect man breathes as if he is not breathing” Lao-Tzu, circa 4th century BC.

Hey, it's Marco! Just when I thought I had this "Breathing" thing down, someone comes along and burst my bubble! Over 90% of modern people suffer from breathing problems, such as chest breathing, mouth breathing, and hyperventilation (breathing more than the medical norm). All these abnormalities reduce oxygen levels in body cells and promote chronic diseases. We can find solid medical evidence testifying that sick people have too heavy automatic breathing at rest...
